Pomalidomide specifically is the generic name for the trade name drug Pomalyst. It is used for the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma. Pomalidomide comes with the strength of 1mg, 2mg, 3mg, and 4mg in the form of capsules. The recommended dose is pomalidomide 4 mg per day taken orally on Days 1-21 of repeated 28-day cycles until disease progression. It may be taken with water. The capsules shouldn't be broken, chewed, or opened.
