Created 1 week ago by anniepery

Artesunate mainly is part of the artemisinin group of medications, which is effective for the treatment of malaria. It is a semi-synthetic derivative of artemisinin that is water-soluble and may therefore be given by injection. The artesunate injection 60 mg is sometimes abbreviated AS injection. Comes for intravenous use only, dosed 2.4 mg/kg IV at 0 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours. Then administer once a day until patients are able to tolerate antimalarial therapy. It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Drugs, a list of the most important medication required in a basic health system.
