Trientine hydrochloride 250 mg is a chelating compound for elimination of excess copper from the body. It is used to treat this inherited condition in those patients who can not take penicillamine. The trientine hydrochloride 250 mg are available as 250 mg capsules for oral administration. It is advised to follow all the directions on your prescription label. Do not take trientine HCL in less or excess amounts or for a longer period of time than prescribed. It should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 60 minutes before or 120 minutes following a meal. Do not chew/break/open your capsule.
