Grids & Repeaters: Replace their CSS for a less bulky layout

Hey all,

I've got into using grids and repeaters a bit, but I find that their layout and look is really bulky in the backend and would really like to be able to re-skin them to be more compact and maybe take advantage of a row-based layout instead of columns for everything.

Is this currently possible and how would I best go about doing this?

I get the same feeling when using Blocks - the layout feel a bit bulky and cumbersome, and that it could be made to be a whole lot more streamlined. I have a feeling this could be resolved when @ryanthompson gets the Layout Editor up and running, but I'm not sure.
