I have a sponsorship field that is a relationship (sponsors). If I put in the sponsorship_sponsors into the filter I get a dropdown of emails for that filter. I would like to be able to search by last name instead of a dropdown of the emails. How can I do that?

Seems like a good improvement to the relationship field would be to add the ability to select the column that displays in the UI. I've used it before and the dropdown displayed the ID which wasn't really helpful.

I had this in mind too - definitely doable just and pretty easy too!

In the meanwhile you can easily do this with a generic text filter too. The filters query handler will just join / search with LIKE or something.
